Lovely place to stay!
This guesthouse is located on the Dalkeith Road, not too far from the Commonwealth swimming pool and is a lovely, traditional Victorian house and was very clean and welcoming. We had a smaller room which was actually cheaper than the other rooms. This was more than adequate and had a view of Arthur's seat! There was tea and coffee making facilities, a flat screen tv on the wall, dvd player, freeview box and CD player and the room was ensuite. There was a good choice for breakfast including a selection of cereals and full Scottish breakfast of bacon, eggs etc.
The B&B is a 20-30 mins walk into the centre of Edinburgh, or a 10 mins bus journey, which we took as the bus stop was just outside the guest house, with one just over the road for the journey back. The buses were usually every 10 minutes so it was never a problem.
I would definitely recommend it and would stay again, as not being directly in the centre of Edinburgh was not a disadvantage in my opinion.
