The boys are gorgeous.
by Aniega
I have never seen so many wonderful specimens of manhood per capita than when I was in Edinburgh. Actually, Scotland in general is a good place to boy-watch. Especially if you're young, although the older men are gorgeous too! I saw quite a funny comic at the Fringe Festival who had the most original routine about sexual experimentation...good times.
See Calton Hill. I never made...
by bluefelt
See Calton Hill. I never made it to Arthur's Seat and it seemed too cold to go, but I did climb the tall tower on top of Calton Hill. Note: asthmatics, do not climb both the Scott Monument and the tower at Calton Hill within the same hour. My legs are still sore from that.
Scotlands Four seasons
by sparkieplug24
It depends on how long u plan to stay. You will need a pair of good walking shoes for Edinburgh as you will walk miles and it is full of hills. Remember to bring a rain jacket no matter the time of year as Scotland is known for four seasons in one day lol. Bring any medicines that you need with you as there are a lot of restrictions on over the counter medicine in the Uk and things that you can buy over the counter in say America may not even be available here or you make need a prescription for which can be expensive. Toiletries you can get a good selection from some of the many shops although you may find these more expensive than you are used to. Bring a camera or video as there are hundreds of photo opportunities throughout the city. Make sure you bring plenty of film, batteries memory cards etc with you although many shops will sell good selection of camera equipment if needed
Water of Leith pathway
by JennJenn
To escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, you only need go a few steps away. Running through Edinburgh but strangely secluded, the Water of Leith path winds from Dean Gallery way up to the northeastern reaches of Edinburgh.
There should be an entrance to the path near the Dean Gallery or the modern art gallery. Beautiful.
Old Style Department Store
by Joe_Green about Jenners
Jenners is a proper Department Store. It sells genuinly close to everything, from the best fashion labels to wigs and hunting gear. It's an experience on it's own to be honest, if you're a natural born shopper you can easily idle away a loooong time there, and if you're after something specific, it's not so HUGE that you can't get in and out in 10 mins. Definately not cheap, you're paying to a certain extent for the celebrity of Jenners, as you do with Harrods in London, but it's not utterly ridiculous money, there's something for all budgets, I think! Excellent for Clothes shopping, that's why I go there, but also good for more unusal things. In theory anything... if you're after a full on assault agianst the credit card, new outfits, new beauty care prducts, new whatever you can genuinley get though the thousands. but I'd say for £100 you could get something of genuine quality.
