Your first must see place should be Edinburgh Castle. I have no doubts that it will be, since it stands perched high on a rock in the middle of the city. It's so beautiful inside, and there is so much, that it really takes hours to visit it all. I nearly spent the entire day there - the coffee shop kept me going.
