rooms for 7 , including a senior citizen

by ghoward37

Does anyone know if the St. Giles is a nice place to stay? Any ideas for rooms for seven, preferably with kitchen facilities? We would all like to be together in an apartment style situation.
Thanks!!

I don't know anyone who has stayed at the St Giles apartment although they are situated in a great place for tourists.

The following website is one which advertises apartments to rent on a short term basis in Edinburgh - http://www.letinedinburgh.co.uk

Availability will depend on when you plan to visit Edinburgh. August is very busy (and expensive) due to the Edinburgh festival.

Enjoy your trip!

Gray Line tour to the Highlands

by Krumlovgirl

http://www.grayline.com/index.cfm I am usually dead set against organized tours, but since we only had a limited amount of time in Scotland I wanted to see as much as I possibly could. After sifting through the overwhelming number of brochures in the tourist information office, I decided with Grayline Tours day tour to the Highlands. The tour took in a boat trip on Loch Ness, Inverness, the Great Valley, and some spectacular sites in the Highlands. I fpund our guide to be wonderful. He was full of interesting tidbits surrounding the area and was extremely knowledgeable. I would highly reccommend the tour as a great introduction to the area.

The Edinburgh castle is...

The Edinburgh castle is definately worth your while, one of the best castles i have visited. Home to the Scottish Crown Jewels, the edinburgh castle overlooks the City and dates from the 12th Century...i loved it. i had limited time and i thought i will be out of there in a couple of hours, but i ended up spending almost 4....however, during summer there can be pretty large crowds, if u are expecting a non-touristy feel to it.

In memory of Saint Wolodymyr......who?

No disrespect intended to the citizens of the Ukraine. The plaque in the photograph commemorates a 1000 years of Christianity in the Ukraine.

PRINCES STREET.

by GrantBoone

One of the main shopping streets in Edinburgh is Princes street which runs from east to west right through the centre of the city.If you enter Edinburgh from Waverley staiton then this will place you in the heart of the shopping district.
