Tall buildings--early skyscrapers

I enjoyed Edinburgh's tall buildings. Apparently the old city was only a mile long by a half mile wide, so the buildings went up instead of out. I thought they gave the city a unique look and contributed to its somewhat mysterious air.

flat shoes, a lot of the Old Town has cobbled streets, hard on the high heels. Even in the summer bring a sweater or a fleece, or a light rain jacket, it can get cold at night ans light showers of rain just essential medicine that you need personally. There are plent of chemist shops that sell all sorts of medical supplies. If travelling up to the highlands take some midge repellent camera essential. The scenery is amazing. Plenty of place to get photos developed, even one hour places, and you can get your digital photos developed as well

The thing that most people miss about Edinburgh are the surrounding areas, in particular Fife. Fife is just twenty minutes away from Edinburgh across the Forth Road Bridge or Rail Bridge.
Dunfermline was once the capital city of Scotland. There are many places to visit such as the Abbey and St Margaret's cave. Dunfermline was also the home of Andrew Carnegie.
St Andrew's in the north of Fife is also a wonderful place to visit. St Andrew's is best known as the home of Golf. It has a lot more to offer, it is a beautiful University town. A particularly good restaurant in St Andrew's is the Doll's House.

A place I always associate with being somewhere my dad shopped...so for older folks than me. But I'm that age now...
Anyway, I was guided gently in here and liked a lot of stuff. Much less old fashioned than I expected.
Ended up with a great linen jacket which I can't wait to wear. All kinds of menswear. £200 for my jacket.
