linlithgow pronounced Lithgow to locals , the birth place of Mary queen of scots , my visit was cold so i didn't have time to take lots of pics .
this is the main drive way to the palace , on the letf on the wall there is plaques of the kings and queens of scotland , not visable due to the snow , the church spire on the right is st michaels church under the arch way and in front is Linlithgow palace .
Linlithgow is a small little town hiding a rather interesting ruined castle called Linlithgow Palace. Walking down the main street you will see the Town Hall. Follow the road next to the building going uphill to reach the castle.
The most famous thing about Linlithgow is Linlithgow Palace, former home of Mary, Queen of Scots. She was kidnapped, and executed on the orders of the English sovereign, Elizabeth. And that act of terrorism set us on the path to where we are today.
