Glasgow Tip
by a.g.roberts
Heading out for a 'wild night on the town', Scott and I decided we'd try to hit one of Glasgow's bars. After wandering for a long time and not getting where we were going we ended up at a really empty place that looked suspiciously like a gay bar (could it have been the two half naked guys grinding away on the dance floor?). Giving up on our night of hedonism, we left and wandered down the street to a tiny little pub with unbelievabley low cielings that seemed to be the only place still open where we could grab a pint before heading back to the hostel. As it turned out we happened upon the oldest pub Glasgow. Though it was near to closing time they let us in for a beer where we spent an hour or so with some locals who were playing guitar and singing tunes. The night turned out pretty good in the end.
Packing List

Resort Yeap. You should take a camera of some sort and other equipment (film perhaps) with you to catch the beauty of Scotland. Scotland has many beautiful sites to catch on film and to admire them later.
Bus sightseeing for under 1 pound
by cadja
Bus 89 and 90 goes within the same fare zone in a circle around the city. They travel the same route but in different directions. If you can manage without a guide and just want to get a good view of the different aspects of the town I'd suggest you buy a single ticket on the bus - for less than 1 pound - and take the full tour.
When you've watched the housings, shopping streets and parks around Glasgow you may hop off at the Cathedral and spend the next hour in the beautiful church. And don't forget the amazing cemetary on the hill behind!
If you're into clothing
by HispanicYob about Princes Square
This place seemed to have a lot of trendy shops that catered to fashion lovers. I didn't bother with any of them but my friend took me here to see it. It's located on Canon Street and it's hard to see. Look for the sign that says "Princes Square". It'll be along the main street. Very classy looking joint I gotta say. Louis Vutton seems to be in a lot of shops in Glasgow. If that's your bag, go for it. I'm assuming a lot. I didn't bother shopping here.
Free Live music all nights!
by Rojo72 about Molly Malones
Molly Malone's on Hope Street, just between Sauchiehall Street and Renfrew Street is a rather large Irish pub that servers excellent lagers and stouts from tap as well as all kinds of strange drinks and food too.
They've got live music at 9.30 PM every day of the week and it can be of many differents kinds. On the saturday we were there there was a band playing U2 and stuff, but the volume was so loud we (and many others) had to leave. But on the other hand we went there on the sunday evening too and then there was 5 irish guys playing traditional irish music on guitar, irish drums etc. They played really well and it was a nice evening out, talking to my friends.
