Disappointing

Stayed one night for a wedding. On check-in we were asked to pay for the room. Mysteriously the price had risen by £25. When I politely questioned this, the woman behind the desk was quite rude and said that it was the bride's fault for not telling me the correct price (which I thought was poor show on the day of the bride's wedding!). Rather than get into an argument about whether or not that was the case, I paid what was asked. If I had not been there specifically for a wedding, I would have definitely left then and gone to another hotel.
Otherwise, food was not good, horrible lingering smell of stale fried food in the corridors leading to the bedrooms. The gardens were nice and the staff at breakfast were pleasant and efficient, these are the only positive things I can say about the place.
