MY LEAST FAVOURITE INDIGO

Good (3.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on May 10, 2014

I have stayed as some very nice Indigo Hotels across the UK, and unfortunately, this is my least favourite. The hotel occupies the site of the former Scottish Power station built in the 1800s. The nearby Glasgow School of Art was the first building to be illuminated from here. They now supply all the art you will find throughout the hotel. I really liked the photos on their website and location just a few minutes’ walk from the Central Train Station. Check-in was nice enough and when I opened my very long room, I thought it looked nice enough. Then I started noticing things…..

The room was warm and I couldn’t get the air-conditioning to work. The window opens about an inch and was no help at all. My sink was blocked with who knows what. There was no bath. The TV only had 3 channels that I could actually see. The bed was a bit hard. I found it hard to sleep and was very tired at work the next day.

The only good thing is the Gym. It is brand new, state of the art and you have the place to yourself. Their TV had better reception.

For this sort of money, you could do better in Glasgow.
