Glasgow Tip
by StirCrazy
My fondest memory of student life was... escaping from the city (well, it's different when you're trapped there in a miserable little bedsit!!!) Glasgow is well-placed for the occasional jaunt to Loch Lomond out to the north west, the Trossachs to the north east and the Clyde and Ayrshire coasts. And, should you make it to the resort of Largs.. you simply MUST visit Nardini's (?) Ice Cream Parlour.
Pack for all weathers!!

A good sized waterproof bag, wheels are good as city centre is fairly well paved so it's easy to wheel your bag. Bring a variety of clothing, layers especially as the weather can be very changeable. Bring a couple of different types of shoes as well as it can get pretty wet even in summer. In winter it is an overcoat colder in Glasgow than even teh north of England, bring a hat, gloves and scarf. Everything available locally
It Takes A Very Brave Man To Take This Picture!

A photograph that half the population (at least) will never see - the mens toilets.
It takes a brave (or foolish) man to take a photograph in mens toilets - but I thought you'd appreciate it -
Here you can see how clean they are (at 10 am) and they were free. Public toilets are a wonderful thing - if they are free, you should at least leave a gratuity, to ensure they continue.
(This one is unusually clean).
