Glasgow
by chico4u
Glasgow lies in the valley of the Clyde between two ranges of hills. It is a city build on hills, especially on the northern side of the river. It is the largest city and seaport in Scotland and the third largest in population in the British Isles. One of the most important buildings in Glasgow is the thirteenth century Cathedral. This beautiful cathedral is noted for the rypt, or 'Laigh Kirk', consecrated by Bishop Joselin in 1197.
The Chippie
by gordonilla
I recently enjoyed a "real" pudding supper from a Glasgow chip shop. It is some years since I last had such good chips!
The Blue Lagoon branch situated underneath Glasgow Central Station is one of the best. Don't forget to buy a glass bottle of Irn Bru to go with your chips.
Hampden Park
by bonio
The home of most major soccer matches played by Scotland as well as domestic cup finals, the Scottish Claymores and 2003 NFL Worldbowl.
Impressive stadium now that all the renovation work has been completed, food a little expensive and no chance of a beer either!

cheap and cheerful
by linzeebee about Glasgow School of Art
The Art School as its known is a wicked night out, tho sometimes its a bit quiet. drinks are cheap, tho the bar can take a while and on the whole the people are friendly. Best thing is the variety of music - techno, electro, drum n bass, northern soul, funk....tho not all on the same night! Has regular nights with top class dj's and its cheap to get in, esp with a student card! i'd say anything goes!
