This is where the town's ice rink is located, in a complex with swimming pool, gymnasium etc. The facility is about 20 years old (I'm guessing), but they take good care of it.
The ice rink section is small - built for curling and public skating, but adopted by the hockey lot anyway. Dark and gloomy, plus very cold in winter. The junior ice hockey club is going through a good spell, with competitive teams and good numbers at u12, 14 & 16. Nothing at u20, but they have a senior (viz adult competitive amateurs) team in the Scottish National League.
They have a bar and viewing area up above, but the bar is always shut when I need it and open if I'm driving...c'est la vie.
It is right in the centre of town. Website is quite good - even uses a picture of my son's old u10 team (he's long past that now) to illustrate the ice hockey! Warm clothes.
Skates if you wanna try...
