Melfort Pier Cottages: Peace & Quiet with all the comforts of home

    We had an enjoyable and comfortable stay here at Melfort Pier & Harbour. There are fifteen cottages for rent here with a minimum stay of two nights. The complex is completely pet friendly and this was the main reason for choosing this accommodation. The house had everything you need for self catering in an open plan first floor which included a functionable kitchen, comfortable lounge with a dining area and a toilet. Downstairs ( a very steep wooden one which poor Shannon fell down and Cuileann had to be carried down) was our quiet and comfortable bedroom complete with full en-suit facilities and a sauna = a great plus to help you keep warm and dry off after a morning shower.

    The cottages have underfloor heating which keeps the whole place cosy. The lounge had a TV with DVD Player (bring your own) and a hi-fi player to keep you entertained. Although I did bring a book to read, I was impressed they had a good selection of books to borrow both in the lounge and bedroom. Outside via patio doors in the lounge they have a small garden complete with a little table and chairs. Some cottages are disabled friendly. Oh back to the TV if you flick through the channels you find your very own security camera - all we ever saw on this was darkness and our parked car - Ah peace comes slowly here - their website is aptly named.
