Oban B&B

This B&B is in a lovely old victorian house above the harbor. The room was clean and quite comfortable. It had a tv, wash basin and clock in the room; the bathroom was down the hall.

The single room has a window with a view of the harbor.

Unique Quality: Alex Cowan was very gracious and kind. My train from Glasgow was at least a 1/2 hour late arriving that night but he had stayed up waiting for my arrival.

The breakfast the next day was a wonderful full Scottish breakfast.

I stayed there one night then traveled on to Tobermory. I was unexpectedly in Oban a few days later without accomodations. I went to Blair Villa hoping for a vacancy, but, no luck. Alex, however, was a prince. He made a number of calls and found a room for me in another B&B owned by friends. It turned out to be another great place to stay! Bless his heart, Alex really came to my rescue that day.
