Watch the sunset over the Sound of Mull
It has been about 15 yrs since I stayed here the last time, and 30 yrs since my first visit.
The location for a person with or without a car is ideal, unless you have arrived by train with a heavy suitcase, then you need a taxi.
The Lancaster is on the Esplanade, and overlooks the harbour. It is a very short walk to the shops of the main shopping area, and lots of restaurants. A small hotel it was very comfortable.
Unique Quality: As previously described, the view out to the sound is wonderful. Across the street is the Esplanade which is wonderful to stroll on daytime or in the evening.
There is an indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room, and spa.
