Not a custom, just a history lesson - the first cars produced in Scotland were made in Paisley by Arrol Johnson, on Underwood Road / corner of Kerr Street from around 1901.

The old Arrol Johnson dog carts are beauties - I am not a car afficianado, but when you ever get the chance to, go and see. Enthusiasts show cars around Scotland and the UK from time to time
