There are some lovely stretches of open road.If your dream holiday consists of rambling along quiet tracks, through open countryside or over hills and mountains, then this is the place for you!. The land is generally flat - and even the Glens roll along gently without too many steep hills if you opt to walk or cycle. (Not my thing)
Thr ruins of Resteneth Priory lie in a tranquil setting, just north of Forfar.
The chancel and tower of the churh of Augustinian Canons still remain. The lower part of the tower is very early Romanesque work.

Perfectly placed for easy commutes and impromptu day trips to Scotland’s other major cities, Dundee is a main rail station on the UK’s east coast line, a cruise ship port and has an excellent motorway link and a thriving regional airport with daily flights to London City.

DUNDEE is one of Scotland´s four major cities and is situated on the east coast of Scotland at the Mounth of the Tay Estuary, 60 miles north of Edinburg and 67 miles south of Aberdeen.
The name of the city is thought to have derived either from the Celtic 'Duntaw'-the hill on the Tay-or from the Iron Age fort on top of Dundee Law called 'Dun Diagh'. Dundee's current population is approximately 145,000. 200 years ago, Dundee had a population greater than that of Glasgow.
