The Best Houses by the River Tay
by scotlandscotour
If you walk around the North Inch park in Perth you can see the lovely houses across the river tay.
Sadly, you will notice that their private gardens extend down to the waters edge, so no walkway is possible. this means that to get to Scone Palace you have to travel inland along a wrotten road for two miles.
One day there will be a footbridge so you can cross the river upstream, but for now, take a bus out to the palace and avoid the walk. Sorry.
Black Watch Museum Perth - Big Tree Country
by scotlandscotour
Perth is home to the famous Black Watch Highland Regiment - and is dubbed "Big Tree Country" because it does have many - largely (no pun intended) due to the efforts of the botanist, Douglas, who came from Scone by Perth and introduced seeds from the Americas.
So, here is a picture of the entrance to the Black Watch Museum. it is in Balhousie Castle in Perth, formerly the home ofthe Earl of Kinnoull - who kindly bequethed Kinnoull Hill (fantastic woods & views) to the City People. Thanks.
The River Tay
by ange_famine
Perth is a quiet little town on the banks of the river Tay. You'll enjoy walking its cobbled streets, discovering its foreign restaurants (try the French and Italian ones on the church street). With a museum, a few churches, statues in the middle of the street (google the seated maiden one to get an idea), there are actually many sights to see in Perth.
Scotland, Perth

"Michael's Guide to Perth"
I lived in Perth in 2002.
Perth is situated 30 miles North of Glasgow and Edinburgh.
It is an Ideal place to explore Scotland from.
Favourite places to visit include The Scottish Deer and Wild life centre situated about 10 miles west of Perth.
It has over a hundred deer of varying breeds all of whom flock to greet their visitors opon arrival, it really is a memorable experience to be up colse to these wonderful creatures.
My local place to drink in Perth was the Ring 'o' Bells situated in the town centre opposite the Church.
It has won the prize for customer service, and after a visit there you will understand why. If you ever call into the pub be sure to say hello to Richard, one of the finest bar staff you will ever meet.
The food at the Ring'o' Bells is reasonably priced and of a high standard.
