My notes on the Royal George Hotel return me to March 1973, on a trip with my parents, when I was 15. I've only driven or walked by the hotel since, and not been in it.
At that time, my only comments about the hotel was that it was "lovely - everything".
I believe we ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and all must've been good or I would've commented! :-D
Unique Quality: Handy for those coming in on the train - which was its main purpose when it was originally built.
