Killiecrankie Walk
by Bushman23
This is the longest walk on offer around Pitlochry, taking you all the way aroung the Loch, over the pass of Killiecrankie, under the A9 highway, past the campsite, and then back into town. The views are pretty cool, and you learn a fair bit about the history of the area.
Be prepared on this hike, comfy walking shoes are a must! And so is a camera...

Tiny Whisky Distillery
by weewatty
Set in a small glen near to Pitlochry you will find the Edradour Whisky Distillery. Looking like a setting from Brigadoon this is the last original 'farm' distilleries in Scotland.
Free guided tours are given with FREE tastings, suppose this is just to get you to part with your cash and buy some of their product.
Quite a good tour giving you insight into the techniques used in the Whisky making process, usually quite a busy wee place in the summer months.
Pitlochry - village of flowers!
by LaineBelle
"Flowers, flowers, flowers!"
A number of years ago I saw this town from the train as I sped north to Inverness and vowed I would return to explore. The return trip was well worth the effort. This is a beautiful little town!
I used Pitlochry as my base to travel to visit the Crannog Center near Kenmorem, on Loch Tay.
"Garden Club"
The center is planted with Hens and Chicks Cactus - very creative! They must have a very strong and active garden club for there are flowers everywhere.
"Flowers and more flowers"
This WWI Veteran's Memorial is on the main street.
