Cosy, warm and a great view!

I stayed there several times already and the hospitality is second to none.
Everyone tries really hard to make your stay unique.
It's an old coaching Inn (originally built by the Duke of Atholl)
The bar is great and they serve good food (always fresh local produce) The rooms are small, but very cosy.
Tea and coffee facilities, TV, private bathroom.
The owner Michael will help you with whatever questions you might have (give my regards!)
The area is very nice for hiking, the views (i.e. from the Queens View viewpoint) are breathtaking!
Book ahead if possible, they have "only" 7 rooms.
We travelled around and stay...

Loch Tummel

Just west of Pitlochry, Loch Tummel is a beautiful loch -- travelling along the B8019 you will see signs for the 'Queen's view' a sliproad down to what is presumably the best view of the loch -- my photo was not taken from there! -- this road provides some stunning scenery as you head west from the A9, deep into the Perthshire countryside.
QUEENS VIEW

This viewpoint, situated a few miles north west of Pitlochry (and well signposted) gives fantastic views over Loch Tummel. Many people assume it was so-named after Queen Victoria stopped here in the 1840s but others believe it may actually have been named for Robert the Bruces wife. Its a beautiful spot anyway. If you get here before 10am parking is free, otherwise it costs £1.

This photo of Loch Tummel was taken from the "Queens View"...the lookout was named because it was the best view of the lake... Very true!!! :) It really is a beautiful lake.
