Pine Trees Hotel

I've stayed here three times now with my husband ... the first was our honeymoon last year, then we stayed for Christmas, and we had another short break last weekend to celebrate our first anniversary ... and I couldn't recommend this hotel enough.

All the rooms seem lovely ( we've had a different one each time ) but this time we had the turret room ( No. 26 ) which has a little balcony and a table and chairs. Room 25 is also very nice.



The service is second to none, the staff really friendly and the food is to die for. Also highly recommended is their large collection of whisky!

Unique Quality: We think one of the nicest things about this hotel, apart from the peace and the feeling of complete relaxation, is the amazing view of the surrounding mountains, especially from the back of the hotel, where you often see rabbits running across the beautifully maintained lawn ... we've heard that deer are often seen in the grounds too, although we haven't seen any ourselves.

If you love good food, this is an ideal place to stay. Everything is freshly prepared using local ingredients and they have a fantastic selection of wine. It may be slightly more expensive here than in the local bed and breakfast places, of which there are many, but your hearty breakfast and three-course, beautifully prepared, dinner are included in the price, so we think it's extremely good value for money.
