Marlaw B&B: Very good B&B in excellent location

We spent a night at the Marlaw B&B in June 2004 and found it a very pleasant experience.

The owners had recently set up their business and put great care in appointing the rooms and communal parts.

They were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel really at home.

Breakfast was absolutely excellent, possibly the best I had in a B&B, a real feast and served in style.

I don't remember how much we paid but a look at their website shows that the rates are in line with the standard for a B&B in rural Scotland. This makes it very good value indeed.

I would not hesitate to recommend it, only a warning that if you do not like dogs the large labrador can be a bit intimidating in his enthusiasm for human-canine shows of affection.
