"Discovering Stevenage"
Stevenage is a town in the district of Hertfordshire, England.
As far as I know, Stevenage is divided in several areas all surrounded by the Fairlands Lakes, a beautiful wide open green spaces. In Stevenage there are two main areas: The Pedestrian town centre which is mainly a shopping area and the Old Town centre with local shops, restaurants and pubs. Both busy and with their own characteristic "look".
An interesting fact about the town is that a view of Stevenage from the air, shows it as a heart shape.
Besides, Stevenage has a good transport infrastructure as there are daily buses running inside the local network transport as well as the near areas. There are also buses going to Luton Airport that cost about 3 pounds and the trip is about 45 min long.
The town is served by Stevenage railway station too, a busy stop on the East Coast Mainline. As such regular trains to London and points north are available. It is handy because is only 30 min away form London Kings Cross rail station.
Stevenage has a lovely countryside both around it, and within it.
