This is a nationally famous garden just west of Colchester, a few miles from Sudnury. It is worth visiting for the beauty of the flowers even if you are not a horticulturalist! There is a series of 5 pools. It was begun in 1960 to see if a garedn could be created where conditions were not good - dry slopes, boggy patches and woody areas. The scale of the success is unbelieveable! Open all year Monday to Friday and Saturdays in summer.
