We reached Tenterden at 10 pm and started looking for our B&B, the "Tower House". We drove up and down Ashford Street 3 times until we spotted it, there were no house numbers to go by, the "Tower House" was dark and the small sign in the front lawn was not illuminated. When we finally found it we got a friendly welcome and an offer to help us carry the luggage up the stairs.
The room was large and comfortable, decorated in a typical B&B style. The shower was very good and modern. We had a nice view from our window, towards the large back garden.
I had a very tasty and filling full English breakfast of bacon, sausage, egg, mushroom and tomato, but there was also toast, yogurt and fruit salad. It was served by our landlady, Phillipa, with a smile and a pleasant small talk. The breakfast room was thoughtfully decorated, including teacups dangling from the chandelier by silk ribbons!
Phillipa and her husband were also very helpful giving us information about Tenterden.
The B&B is located just 2 minutes from the town center.
We were altogether very satisfied with our 2-night stay in the "Tower House".
Directions: On the main road from Ashford (A28) just before it merges into High Street, 2 minutes from the town center.
