Thurso little town northern Scotland
"Family Roots"
My hubby and I traveled by car from Inverness, Scotland to the small town of Thurso. A scary adventure for Americans used to driving on the other side of the road, at least there wasn't much traffic. My G-G-Grandfather's family, from the Sinclair Clan, were from this area. I often heard stories that she was told as a girl and then told to me. I found the Old St. Peter's Cathedral ruins and many Sinclair graves. It was sad to see in it in such disrepair. The B&B we stayed at was great, double the room of London for half the price. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was hard to get used to the sunset at 10:00p.m. and sunrise about 4ish in the a.m.
