As you are driving from Thurso heading south along the A9 you will notice how the landscape appears to be so flat,half way along the road are a few parking spots where you can admire the views,dismiss the windfarms and see the mountains in the far distance.The whole area gave me the feeling I was in the Plains of America and imagined a herd of Buffallo in the distance.
