I stayed here some years ago as a stopover on a bus tour. I see from the website that it's been upgraded and modernized considerably since. It's a lovely hotel, now with about 45 rooms and suites including a few penthouse suites. Prices vary depending on if you are in the new wing or the original section of the hotel. There is only 2 floors in the original hotel, including rooms on the main level i believe. The Cinnamon Restaurant, as i recall, was very good. Rates seem very reasonable. The setting is about a mile outside of the town of Llangollen and you can cross the road and walk into the town along a path by the River Dee, with a great view of the old town bridge along the way. There are views of the mountains and of the Vale of Llangollen from most rooms. It was a great place to stay back then and it looks even nicer now.
