The Pier Hotel: Do Not Be Misled

Do not be misled by this establishment's website. First, there is no pier in Rhyl. Second, the welcome and complimentary cup of refreshment upon arrival, as described on the introductory page of their website, is non-existant. Moreover, this establishment claims to be a 3* hotel, but alas it is not; it is a glorified B&B masquerading as a 3* hotel. To qualify as a 3* hotel an establishment must provide a working restaurant where guests can partake of evening meals, this facility is not available at the Pier Hotel. As an employee/manager of a real 3* hotel I am qualified to make this judgement. I would not recommend the, so-called, Pier Hotel to anyone, except unemployed people looking for B&B accommodation funded by Social Security, as this seems to be the class of clientel that most hotels in this area cater for.
