Comfortable beds, a choice of full restaurant or bar meals (we tried both) and friendly service made it a perfect place for us to stay en route to Fishguard for a family birthday gathering, with a day either side to visit the nearby National Botanic Garden of Wales and the Aberglasney Gardens.
The weather was perfect and was dubbed the "first weekend of the British summer" by the many locals who, particulary for those in the farming and hospitality business, have had one of the worst summers on record.
Visitors this weekend also included a multinational mixture of overseas guests participating in the World Sheep Trials being held at Dinefwr Park in nearby Llandeilo.
The location is lovely and although on the main road we were not disturbed by road traffic. It makes an ideal base to explore the beautiful countryside of the Tywi Valley and the many attractions of the area.
We would stay there again.
Location, friendly, family run place. Wi-Fi in rooms (ask for security code) Good value for money.
Reminds me in style of Logis de France small inns
