Ty Mawr Counry Hotel, Brechfa: Lovely hotel and restaurant - service is FAB!
This hotel is clean, safe and very welcoming. The managers are very professional and will cater to your every need! The food is award-winning and with good reason, the vast majority of their food is organic, locally sourced (if not hown-grown/reared) and seasonal. The hotel is situated in the delightful Cothi Valley, surrounded by the Brechfa forest (beware the Brechfa Beast!) and the new Brechfa bike trails. I would recommmend anyone to stay here (provided it is within your budget!)....
The croquet lawn is splendid!

Coachman's Cottage: Cottage with a Garden Park
We liked the idea of staying in a country house garden and the cottages at Aberglasney Garden (see Tip) seemed just right. We would have free access to the gardens, the restaurant and shop throughout our stay and were only minutes away from the National Botanic Garden of Wales, two of the best restaurants in the area, country pubs and the plesant market town of Llandeilo.
We chose Coachman's Cottage and were delighted with it - the accommodation consisted of a huge well equipped kitchen/diner; a spacious cosy sitting room and two very good size ensuite bedrooms . For a get-away-from-it-all week in the loveliest of surroundings it was perfect.
We paid about £300 for a week in low season - it accommodated four people very comfortably but I do feel the high season prices are unreasonably high - £800+
Peace and calm and lovely surroundings.
Open every day except Christmas Day
