The Lion Hotel: A Comfy stay

The Lion Hotel is situated on Main Street in Pembroke quite literally a stones throw away from the Mighty Castle and also in an ideal position for exploring the nearby Pembrokeshire coast. The rooms are situated above a friendly bar where you can also purchase cooked meals. The rooms are really cosy and contain everything you would need for a short stay in the area. Our room was situated on the second floor at the rear of the hotel. We had a massive flat screen TV, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer and ample hanging space for our clothes. The bathroom was nice and clean and the shower nice once you got the hang of it! The breakfast was served in small room downstairs, adjacent to the bar. Even though the Lady serving (and cooking) was rushed off her feet, we didn't have to wait long and it was a breakfast worth waiting for, it was delicious and really set us up for the busy day exploring we had ahead of us! We only stayed for one night but I would definitely stay here again.

There is a small designated car park behind the hotel. You will also find some very cheap parking in a street/lane just before the Hotel. The turning to the parking area is just opposite the Castle entrance.

The Lion Hotel: A Nice Place to Stay

The 18th century Lion hotel is one of the oldest and longest serving residential building in Pembroke, it's an old Coaching Inn just 2 minutes walk away from Pembroke Castle which was our main reason for booking.

Our room was a family room with freeview television, wireless internet access it was really comfortable and relaxing. It's a bit old fashioned looking and some would complain that it needs modernisation, the only slight problem we had was with the shower as it was a bit temperamental.

The Lion Hotel has a friendly bar and restaurant serving home cooked food. We only had breakfast but it was delicious, a really good breakfast that set us up for the day.
I would not hesitate to stay here again.
