Unfriendly and Unappealing

Don't eat or stay here unless you want bad food, curfews (yes, curfews!) and offensive attitudes from staff. Want to sit at the bar? Forget it. The bar stools all belong to staff members, and have names painted on them. Want to stay out past midnight? Forget it. The place has an 11:30 pm curfew, which is spung on guests when they arrive. (What kind of hotel has a curfew? This is not a IYHA hostel.) Want a drink on New Year's Eve? Forget it. The licensee's son in law plays bouncer and refuses entry to anyone who is not Welsh. Want a decent meal? Forget it, unless you like badly prepared, bland food. Want a decent room? Forget it. Unless you're lucky enough not to be stuck in a room with a window that overlooks the bar and doesn't shut properly, let alone lock. Want a friendly, warm welcoming? Forget it. Staff are surly, self-important. Feel like having a punch up? Forget it. Unless you're a local, in which case, punch away, all will be forgiven in the morning.
