Travel Tips for Criccieth

Penarth Fawr

by Myfanwe

Penarth Fawr is a Medieval Hall house which is situated off the A494 on the Lleyn Peninsular in North Wales.

This attractive house is owned and cared for by CADW (Historic Monuments in Wales). There is no admission charge so you are free to wander around during reasonable hours.

The house is unfurnished but has impressive timber roof trusses and great stone walls, floors and fireplaces - well worth a look if you are in the area. I loved the old oak tree in the gardens of this house, who knows how old that is!!
