More about Ffynnon
Only one word needed WOW!
We stayed at Ffynnon Townhouse recently for a 2 night break and couldn't have chosen a better place. Debra and Steve are the perfect hosts with nothing being too much trouble from booking a restaurant table to recomending an interesting walk around the local area. The hotel was spotless, the room the comfiest we've stayed in anywhere, and the breakfasts delicious. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in this beautiful area of Wales.
Ffynnon Townhouse is a beautiful little guesthouse. Our room - Myfawny - had been very well decorated and was cosy and comfortable. The bathroom is huge and very stylish.
Steve and Debra are really friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants and telling us about the local area. They also make a great breakfast.
We'd thoroughly recommend this place to anyone visiting Wales.
Probably the nicest B&B we've ever stayed in!
Friends from the State came to visit and we did a quick tour around Wales. Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night at the Ffynnon Townhouse - because it is probably the best B&B we've stayed in yet. The house is beautiful, large and spacious. The rooms are all very well decorated - each unique. The breakfast was great, the owners were very helpful and welcoming. Simply nothing not to like - We loved this house!
If you are staying in Dolgellau, try the Ristorante "Bella Italia". Excellent food, great service.
Pure brilliance is how we’d describe the wonderful experience that is “Ffynnon”. Nestled in the charming town of Dolgellau, near Snowdon’s mountain peaks, this superb B&B is a real find and the warm welcome from Debra and Steve instantly makes you feel at home as the stresses of daily life melt away.
We felt a key difference about this B&B, to be the much appreciated extras. There is a comfortable lounge area to relax in with books, games, music and a well stocked honesty bar; you can help yourself to the wide DVD selection to watch in your room; and there’s even a kitchen area where you can store and eat food – nice if you don’t want to eat out every night.
We loved the décor – a stylish mix of old original features with new modern chic. And a particular highlight for us was the delicious breakfasts, whether you want to opt for the healthy fresh fruit and museli option (me), or indulge in a full fry up (my husband), you can’t fail to be impressed by the quality of both food and service.
But what really makes this place so exceptional, is the extra mile the owners go to. From the candles put out for our “romantic” fish and chip dinner, to the Green and Black chocolates on our pillows at night and the packed lunches available for our all day excursions, they all combine to make your stay truly special. Debra kindly got up extra early to make us breakfast before a full days’ climb and Steve had the champagne bucket and glasses ready by the hot tub after our hard day. Furthermore they also helped organise our chosen activity (we tried our hand at rock climbing) and booked our restaurants and taxis so it really is hassle free!
We would not hesitate to recommend Ffynnon to you and hope to return ourselves in the not too distant future.
Friendly, welcoming and an absolute pleasure!
My wife and I needed a break with our 11 month old son at short notice and Ffynnon was just what the doctor ordered! Steve & Debra could not have been more welcoming and the house was impecable with fantastic rooms, excellent location and the spa bath in our room was just right after a walk round Cadair Idris with Ben on my back! Our hosts were more than happy to provide advice and maps from their extensive library and even gave us a flask of tea to take with us on our journey!
We would definitely recommend Ffynnon to anyone we know and all those that we met at breakfast would say the same with none having anything other than good things to say about the place!
Romantic and elegant perfection in a gorgeous, tranquil setting.
Our stay was absolute perfection and the highlight of our Welsh holiday. A wonderfully stylish yet cozy and charming boutique bed and breakfast in a lovely village. Deb and Steve have lovingly created a true paradise for those seeking a romantic and peaceful getaway, with no detail forgotten. They also recommended several dinner spots we loved as well as hiking trails. We can't wait to return to this special gem.
Everything you could want from a boutique B&B
Beautiful room (Myffanwy), lovely guest lounge with honesty bar, books, stereo etc. Delicious breakfast. Service was perfect - there whenever you need it but not 'in your face'. They prepared a packed lunch which was delicious and good value and were very helpful in planning walks, dinner, etc. Ideal location in centre of village with excellent restaurants within walking distance. Would highly recommend.
Sophisticated relaxation in the heart of Wales
Stayed at Fynnon for 2 nights and could have stayed for weeks! Steve and Debbie were so welcoming and their house is breathtakingly beautiful. The rooms are spacious and stylishly decorated with an effortless elegance. The bathrooms were beautiful and so relaxing, a wonderful way to ease the aches and pains after the hill walking. Everything about our stay was perfect, I only wish our own home was so well kept and inviting!
Superb location, and fantastic hosts. Steve & Deb have impeccable taste, and keep the house looking stunning. They have superb information about dining and travelling in the area. We will return as soon as possible.
