CLIMB Mt.SNOWDON. 'Me & my dog"

CLIMB Mt.SNOWDON.
'Me & my dog'. This was taken quite a few years ago, very early on an icy Spring morning.
There is a stone plaque on the top 'Wanderer stop awhile & marvel at God's work & of your short passage on earth'(sorry if I didn't get the words quite right!!).
Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales (over 3,000ft), & is only about 30mins driving time from my home. You can take the rack & pinion railway to the top where there is a cafe (summer season only).
But I like to go up in Spring or Autumn very early in the morning (it tends to be a bit crowded in Summer, too many tourists!!!).
Mostyn Art Gallery
by lomi
Lady August Mostyn originally founded the gallery, to house her personal art collection. Nowadays it is a contemporary art gallery, with an ever changing collection.
Some lovely artisan made items are sold here from artisans in the UK, as well as a small collection of art books and magazines. The gallery hosts a variety of temporary exhibits featuring numerous contemporary modern art. Sculptures, paintings, ceramics, textiles, and glass are included in the many displays.
Cafe on top floor.
Keswick, Lake District.

We went to Keswick in April & took a chance with the weather, it was cold but sunny. We went to visit my daughter Nichola, she has recently bought a house, with boyfriend Nathan, in Carlisle, & Keswick is only a short drive away.
We went in the middle of the "Foot & Mouth" epidemic, most of the footpaths were closed & also nearly all of the local hotels & B&B's were empty.
Nic in her place of work (she's now a manager).
ALLERDALE HOUSE. This is Pauline, the landlady, we arrived late in the evening & had a lovely welcome (cup of tea ready). We were her first visitors for three weeks !!! She cooks a lovely breakfast.
The rooms are really beautiful, with TV, tea & coffee, etc. We would highly recommend here & will be coming again. You can Email for details to Pauline at.....allerdalechef@aol.com
Just one of the streets. There are plenty of B&B's everywhere, it's a shame that nearly all were empty.
Keswick town centre. Quiet & deserted due to the Foot & Mouth disease.
Bit chilly !!! but it's a beautiful place with lovely views. We'd like to go back in summer, but have been told that there are many tourists then, B&B's are full & the traffic on the roads are quite bad. So put your wooly hat on & sample the place off season.
Little house, built as a bridge over a river.
You must have a boat trip around Lake Windermere.
Nichola (my daughter) & Nathan at their new home. They've both put in a lot of work in it, & I particilarly like Nic's choice of decorating & colours.
I'm very proud of them both.
