Everything You Could Ask For

The Escape is listed as a Boutique B & B. I am not exactly sure what that means, but it is truly a wonderful place. The rooms, only 9 of them, are individually designed around themes like Urban Cool, The Retro and French Fancy. Ours was the Urban Cool (we like to think we are, anyway) and was very stylish, comfortable and attractive. Thanks to VTer Sue Stone for her tip that led us to stay here.

The breakfast is also wonderful and served in a light attractive room with excellent service and superb food. Choices include beautiful fresh fruit, toast or croissants, full Welsh breakfast, cereals and some of the best porridge I have ever tasted. I had never tried it with honey, but it was delicious.

Unique Quality: One of the most impressive things to us was the service that Sam, the owner, provides. In addition to helping arrange transportation, he took some of our clothes, searched a couple of possibilities for laundering them, chose the less expensive and had them done there so they were cleaned and folded in our room the next day. You are really made to feel like a guest

Escape B&B - 5 Star B&B

On our long weekend to North Wales we stayed in the town of Llandudno. The main reason we decided to base ourselves here was because of the fabulous sounding B&B I had read about - Escape B&B. The reviews I had come across were so good that we just had to check this place out for ourselves. Thankfully it lived up to its reputation!

Escape is a 5 Star B&B, located only a short walk from the main attractions of Llandudno. Located in a gorgeous 3 storey Victorian Villa, Escape looks impressive from the outside, and the inside is just as good.

The ground floor has a stylish lounge area with a large screen TV, if you feel like relaxing here rather than in your room. Here you will find the "honesty bar", stocked with beer, wine and such. Just take what you want and note it down on the list, to be added to your bill. There is also a good selection of DVD's you can borrow to watch in your room.

There is also a dining room, where the tasty breakfasts are served. Breakfast is included in the room rate and was excellent. We enjoyed good coffee, fresh juice, porridge and a hot Welsh breakfast. The food was fresh and good quality, very well presented, and served with a smile.

The very friendly and helpful owners, Sam & Gaenor, were available to offer advice on places to eat and things to see in Llandudno and the surrounding area.

Unique Quality: There are 9 rooms and they are all individually designed, offering you a choice when you book of what type of décor you prefer - from retro, to 'urban cool', there is something for everyone. The furnishings and fittings are good quality and everything is well maintained. Each room has a flat screen TV, DVD player and ensuite with AVEDA toiletries.

We chose the Retro room (number 5) as we are partial to a bit of retro! It was perfectly fitted out - from the padded head board to the groovy light fittings, and had great views over the town. The bathroom had a big shower with a huge shower rose, and the mirror was freaky - it had these small lights inside that reflected and created a strange effect (see photo), but there was also one of those great shaving/makeup mirrors, so it was all good.

We really loved our stay at Escape B&B and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Romantic Escape

The owner welcomed us in his lovely restored Victorian house with fresh coffee before showing us one of 9 individually designed rooms. All are furnished in contemporary styles. Stunning hillside views.

We had a great romantic break and slept soundly in plush beds.

Breakfast was a feast.

Would highly recommend for any traveller. Couples and romantics will appreciate it.

Unique Quality: We lounged in the whirlpool bath and watched a movie on the flat screen TV from the selection of free DVDs.
