This little town house tucked away in Charlton Street, is a gem. Not many guest houses offer this standard of accommodation and food at these prices.
Janet and Don the owners, can't do enough to make you feel welcome. From the cooked breakfast, (included in the price of your room) with fresh fruit juices, mountains of cereals and fruit, and mushrooms cooked in butter, to wifi, hairdryer and flat screen tv's in all the rooms, its better than some of the 4 star hotels i've stayed in this town. They had a choice of herb teas on the 'beverage tray'. Certainly ticked my box, I never drink tea or coffee!
Unique Quality: After a hard day on the beach and then hitting the restaurants and wine bars, I appreciated an early night. Karden House have a 'quite policy' after 9.30pm, and in the leafy lined street, a stone's throw from the beach it is seventh heaven to sleep through the night away from home. This is a family place to stay.
It is also handily located near pretty Trinity Church square, and the shops and restaurants are nearby. The railway station is just around the corner and the bus station a 5-10 minute walk.
Directions: The road opposite the post office, and on the corner of the road leading to Trinity Church. Near the railway station
