In the bedrooms we found curtains and bedspreads pretty and attractive but the wallpaper was stained and parts of it coming off, the fittings were coming away from the wall, a light bulb was missing from above the vanity unit and there was a hole in the wall near the switch. The ensuite was pretty awful to, I had to keep the door shut as the smell was pretty disgusting. Towels hard and worn.
However we only needed a bed for the night as we were flying the next day from Manchester which is one and half hours drive away.
Double room was 22.50 per person with breakfast, though we didnt get a discount for not having breakfast.
The public rooms of the Rose Tor are comfortable and attractive. You can lounge comfortably on the squasy sofas in the bar and seating areas. The restaurant have an evening carvery for 10.95 per person, which we thought was a good deal but if you are staying more than one night could be a bit repetitive. However step outside the hotel for lots of nearby resaturants and bars.
