Beach, Promenade & Pier

Llandudno is Wales's largest resort, and is a popular tourist destination all year round, particularly for its proximity to Snowdonia National Park. During the warmer months, Llandudno's two beaches also attract the crowds.
If you are not one for lying on the sand, you can take a stroll along the wide beach-side promenade, or settle on one of the benches and enjoy the passing scene. You can also check out the beautiful Llandudno Pier. Opened to the public in 1878, the Pier is said to be the finest surviving Victorian pier in Britain and is now a Grade II listed building. It is unusual as it doesn't just jut out into the water, but instead kinks at a 45 degree angle. These days it in lined with amusements and kiosks and makes an interesting place for a wander.

I'm afraid this is one to avoid. Situated on the high street next to Woolworths the menu promises traditional British food at a reasonable price. The food was mostly prepared from frozen and pre- prepared dishes that were warmed up in the microwave. The last straw was using tinned custard on the trifle. They did do a cracking and reasonably priced chocolate milkshake but not a place I will return to in a hurry. This place is open into the evening which is a rarity in Llandudno for this type of family restaurant as many close their doors at 6pm.

We have a good variety of wildlife in North Wales. Bet you can't guess what this one is ?
No it's not a chicken either!!!
Still guessing ??? I`ll give you a clue....."it goes MOOOO & you get milk from it".......NO, it`s not a dog either...duh !!!
Bus Tour

From Llandudno pier try one of the bus tours.
1. Around Llandudno town, (via West Shore and Deganwy) to Conwy. This is a hop on hop off tour with a lively commentary, about the landmarks and historic sites along the way, and well worth 5 GBP. You can use your ticket for 24 hours.
2. Circular trip around the Great Orme
