Nant Ddu Lodge: Brecons best hotel /spa

This is a amazing place to stay if just for a weekend spa..

Nant Ddu lodge is a new £750000 Hotel Bistro and spa, and if you want a luxury hotel in the Brecon Beacons then this is it.

It is a true country hotel and inn, unfussy, warm, welcoming and utterly relaxing. Yet guests sacrifice nothing in terms of comfort and surroundings

Quite simply, the Nant Ddu Lodge represents the best of all worlds - the highest standards brought to you with that all-important personal touch.

Brynich Campsite, Brecon: Mountain view camping!

Brynich is situated approximately 2 miles from the centre of Brecon. It's in an excellent position for touring the surrounding area & to pop into town if you need to shop!

The camping pitches are of a generous nature and are marked out nicely, the grass is very well kept, in fact I think the owners had an OCD thing going on about mowing - they were at it all the time!!!

The facilities consist of a toilet block with shower cubicles - ample room & hooks for your clothes, wash basins in private cubicles in addition to the normal sinks. All of which was kept spotlessly clean.

Next door to the toilets & showers is the washing up room. This room has four/five sinks for washing dishes, a large fridge & freezer to keep food items & ice packs cold, a microwave, washer dryer & ironing facilities.

The camping field is quite small in comparison to other sites I have stayed on, there is a separate children's playfield & adventure play area to keep the children occupied. It can be quite noisy first thing in the morning as the site is situated next to the busy A40 road. I only noticed this first thing in the morning.

There are also a few self catering cottages to rent & bike hire is available in the summer months - see website below for details.

Brynich has a licenced restaurant on site offering hearty local produced food - we were warned by the owners that it did get quite busy so we would have had to book a table. There is also a play-barn attached to the site which is paid for separately.

The prices for high season are 15 GBP per pitch.

There is a great view of pen-y-fan from the reception area.

A campsite with a Microwave - woweee!!

Excellent walks along the nearby Brecon & Monmouthshire canal towpath.
