Fantastic

Thought this one of the best run hotels I’ve stayed in for ages. It is a huge building in the town centre. The car park isn’t well signed but it is at the back and can accommodate hundreds of cars.

It is an old fashioned hotel but some areas have been recently upgraded including the bar which has a conservatory along the road. The restaurant is also modern and has a conservatory too.

The corridors are confusing but there are plentiful lifts and the staff are most helpful.

Breakfast is a typical buffet arrangement – no wasting time waiting for table service - and had all you need. Dinners were fantastic. The choices and food were both excellent and the service was outstanding, mostly conducted by Spanish waiters. Only disappointment was that they seem to carry only a small stock of each wine – whenever we asked for a second bottle we found we `d had the last one!

The old central heating system made odd noises at 6.30am but that apart the room could not be faulted.

I would have no hesitation in staying there again.
