When I was at school we went on a week long holiday to Barry Island, we stayed at a holiday camp, it was owned then by Butlins, I think that it has since changed hands.
It was here that I jumped off the Parachute Regiments training tower which was a great experience.
There was plenty to do here and one thing that kept us occupied all week was a sporting achievement scheme, I passed mine. When we got home we found that all those who passed won a weeks holiday for them and their families at a Butlins Holiday Camp of their cchoice.
While we had a lunch there, we saw a offer for the hotel for 29.99 pounds, that is a good price.
The chain is Toby Grill, but I had not found a web site for them
