Location and value!
Austin's is located within easy walking distance Cardiff Central train station. It offers a good location for a visit to Cardiff, being within easy reach of the city centre where buses and trains take you out to numerous locations.
The guest house overlooks the River Taff, directly opposite the Millennium Stadium and Cardiff Arms Park.
I booked a single (room only) with en suite facilities and was accommodated in one of the twin rooms.
Unique Quality: With such a good location, a price for a single with en suite facilities of £39 per night was very reasonable. My room had plenty of space, a small wardrobe, dressing table with tea and coffee making facilities, twin beds, small TV. The room also had a small showeroom en suite which was provided with soap.

Austin's Guesthouse
I stayed the first 2 of my 4 Cardiff days in Austin's Guesthouse, where I had a single room with own sink, but shared bath for 28 GBP per night. The price included an average breakfast.
Austin's is a small and basic guesthouse. Unfortunately, the staff was not too friendly. The main advantage of this place is its perfect central location for a very affordable price.

Austin's Guest House
The rooms are nothing special but have everything you need. The lady who runs it was nice and helpful.
Only downside was a fairly meagre breakfast, apart from that it was dead on.
Unique Quality: Very central to the town, just a 5 minute walk from the city centre, Cardiff castle and the millennium stadium.

A guesthouse overlooking River Taff
Conveniently located within easy reach of all the attractions, this b&b/guesthouse was a very good choice. We really enjoyed our stay there. Just think of this: it's overlooking River Taff, opposite the Millenium Stadium and you can even spot the castle from there!
U$ 65 double room with English breakfast included.
Unique Quality: Facilities: Tea & coffee making, small kitchen, shower, very clean, delicious breakfast!
