Campanile Hotel Cardiff
Very nice and neat hotel. All staff are very pleasant and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
The only bad point is thats its 10mins outside the City centre, no problems if you have a car but using Taxi's can get expensive. Average fair is £13 into the city one way.
Good value with added wild life!
Thismedium sized two-star hotel was where two of my relatives stayed recently on a visit to Cardiff.
The big advantage is that the rates are very reasonable £30-£45 per room. The disadvantage is it is several miles out of the city centre, next to the busy A48 Cardiff-Newport road.
Apparently the food served there was very good though took a while to arrive!
Unique Quality: If you have a room overlooking the busy A48, the grass banks will be covered with wild rabbits early in the morning!!
Looking at the information available online, the hotel boasts 47 en-suite rooms which include a computer point. The Campanile is one of these out-of-town hotels that tries to attract business travellers and business conferences too.
Directions: From city centre follow the North Road to join the A48 by-pass road towards Newport. After a mile or so, the Hotel and Pentwyn are signposted to your left.
