On the weekends a park and ride service runs from County Hall car park opposite the Red Dragon Centre. This costs £3 per car and the bus journey is only about 10-15 mins (a far better option than the £8-10 a city centre multi-storey will cost)
Car Parking at the Red Dragon Centre can also be a good alternative. Park there all day and it will cost £9, however, if you pop in to the centre and buy something in the restaurants, bars, cinema or Doctor Who exhibition, and ask for your ticket to be validated, parking will be free.
A similar scheme operated in the Mary Ann Street multi-storey car park with Cineworld. Watch a film there after 6pm to get cheap parking.
It's a good idea to plan ahead too. If there is an event on at the Millennium Stadium parking will be very difficult and expensive. Public transport is always a better option.
