Carreglwyd: Porteynon - Coastal Camping

Carreglwyd is a great campsite consisting of three large fields situated right alongside the beach at Porteynon. The toilet and shower facilities are clean and there are plenty of them. The toilet blocks are situated at the top of the first two fields - caravans with their own portaloos tend to camp at the field at the far end of the site as it's a bit of a trek to the toilet blocks. Some of the pitches are sloping - these are the ones which give you the better sea view; although you should be able to find some relatively flat pitches at the top of the first/second field. There is a very small shop at the entrance to the site selling camping essentials but shops selling food and drink etc are in short supply so make sure you take all you bbq requirements with you. You won't starve though as there is a fish and chip shop and cafe which serves a great breakfast just a few minutes away from the camp site.

Unique Quality: It's the perfect get away from it all location!
