Not for me
This Hotel may be unique in its setting - but it is perhaps one of the most expensive hotels i have ever stayed in, when taking into account £ against square footage. I was charged the reduced rate of £115 per night (normally £165) for a room situated in the attic that was so small it was not possible for me and my wife to get into bed at the same time. When getting ready there was not enough space for us both to get ready at the same time. With the sloping roof it made 1/2 the room useless anyway.
At night (it was March when we were there) the heating goes off- if it was not for the fact that the rooms were so small the room would get very cold. as a consequence of this the windows stream with condensation.
The breakfasts - were ok, but too small - they used cheap ingredients - but the local bacon and sausage were nice. The cereals, fruit juices and other breakfast ingredients were poor quality.
The staff were very friendly - most being students from the local university.
The drinks were very expensive and the choice was limited due to the size of the bar.
Unique Quality: The location is very nice

awful
I went to a wedding at oxwich this past weekend and you cant fault the location but the hotel services were very under average to say the least. there was only one person serving behind the bar through out the day and the evening which I believe frustrated the guests as being a supposed prestigious hotel you would of thought that they would of had plenty of staff on hand to deal with the bar but this was not the case as the same staff also had to man the reception in which the guests check in so they couldn't be in two places at once which meant that you were left waiting for service until somebody was available ect. they do not provide adequate outside smoking facilities which i feel let them down considering most other venues do provide this service recognising that the majority of people do smoke so you had to go in the open outside which is not pleasant when it is windy, cold and raining. there felt no real managerial presence during the course of the day over seeing the event and honestly felt that the hotel was run by students. of course this did'nt ruin the wedding in which i and all the guests seemed to really enjoy but i do feel that is because of the ambience that the wedding party bring themselfs with no help from the hotel.my room was awful which was the biggest dissapointment it was really cold with no quilts just thick sheets and was'nt very clean although they have decorated some of the other rooms they still hav'nt done most of them and are in poor condition and does not justify the cost to stay there in my opinion it's in dire need of redecoration through out the hotel to bring it in to the standards of other hotels in the area and it also need good managment to equal the hotel and it's guest's needs . the breakfast was nice in the morning and served promptly.overall I feel that the hotel assumes it's location is all that it needs to make it a good venue, o how wrong they are and it is an unfortunate attitude to have as the location is the best that you could get the only problem is that the hotel really lets it down.
Unique Quality: the location is priceless

Gorgeous Location!
Hotel set in a stunning location on the Gower Coast
we got married here last yr and had a fabulous day,its a truly stunning setting.we had the reception in their marquee on a hill in private garden overlooking the sea !
the staff couldnt do enough for us during the planning and on the day itself, the food, service and resident DJ were all of a high standard
some of the rooms in the hotel itself needed refurbishing and they have now started to do so
the food is lovely here and we often pop by just for a meal
in summer it can get busy but there are eating areas outside too and bouncy castles for the children in the beer gardens
and of course the beach is 30 seconds walk away ! so a perfect place to sip a cold drink & have a bite to eat when youve had a hard day sunbathing ; )
Unique Quality: great location / food / views / staff
