Well worth four stars, this ancient coaching inn has spent a good deal of money updating itself for the 21st Century.

Set in a chocolate box village, with the river Nene nearby, beautiful gardens and good facilities - its a romantic setting. Well regarded bar and restaurant.

Romantic that is, aprt from the A1 (major road) running past the back gate. In days gone by the hotel faced onto the 'great north road' itself - before the dual carriageway bypass came.

An upmarket hotel, inan upmarket village - well worth stopping at.
